Ferro silicon 75 is widely used in steel making and casting. In the steelmaking process, the steel needs to be oxygenated to achieve the ideal high temperature environment, and too much oxygen at a later stage tends to produce more oxides in the steel, which affects the quality of the steel. Introduction
Uses of ferro silicon 75:
(1) Ferro silicon 75 is an indispensable deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferro silicon 75 is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation.
(2)Ferro silicon 75 used as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry. In the production of nodular cast iron, 75 ferro silicon is an important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and nodulizer.
(3)Ferro silicon 75 used as a reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys. Not only the chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is great, but the carbon content of high-silicon ferro silicon 75 is very low. Therefore, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is a commonly used reducing agent in the production of low-carbon iron alloys in the ferroalloy industry.
(4) 75 ferrosilicon is often used in the high-temperature smelting process of magnesium metal in the Pidgeon method of magnesium smelting. The magnesium in CaO.MgO is replaced, and each ton of metal magnesium will consume about 1.2 tons of ferrosilicon. The production of magnesium metal plays a big role.

It can effectively improve the fluidity of the iron, thus preventing clogging of the outlet and reducing the tendency of white mouth of the casting.
