The main component is silicon element, with a content of about 98%.The other impurities are mainly iron, aluminum, calcium and so on. The classification of metallic silicon is according to the content of iron, aluminum and calcium, silicon metal can be divided into different grades such as 553, 441, 411, 3303, 2202, and 1101.

Silicon metal grade 3303 consist of silicon content 99.37%, 0.3%iron, 0.3% aluminum and 0.3% of calcium.
